- ID3X Quickstart
-
- First of all, you should have some mp3 files, which you want to edit.
-
-
- Step 1
- Select the mp3 file you want to edit by:
- a) dropping it to the window, or
- b) opening it via the "Open…" menu command / pushing the "Open…" button or
- c) browsing to it in the file list
-
- Step 2
- If the selected file is a valid mp3 file, edit fields are enabled and existing information is displayed.
- You may toggle between tag and file information by switching between the tabs.
-
- Step 3
- Edit the information as you wish and press "Save" or select the "Save" command from the menu
-
-
-
-
- Further possibilities
-
- - if you select one or more of the "global" checkboxes, changes will be made to all mp3 files in the same folder
-
- - play a title by double-clicking it in the file listing or pressing "Play"
-
- - "display valid files, only" filters the file listing - note that list refresh is slower
-
- - the "dump" tab displays ID3V2 tags that are currently not supported by ID3X (they are not lost, if you save changes)
-
- - select "Suggest file name" from the menu to construct a file name from the information
